BetUS Cricket Betting

Update: Since the inception of this site, there has been a lot of changes in the sports betting industry, and one of these is the reputation of BetUS. To cut it short, we have decided to refrain from recommending BetUS as a sportsbook for our readers. We will keep the review up hoping for people to find this page to not use them, and if so, do so at their own risk.

The reason we have taken this stance is because of several reasons. BetUS has participated in several types of scummy and unethical behaviour, like paying for favorable reviews of their sites and using what other people think are unbiased operators recommending them, when they in fact are the owners of said blogs.

If you want to read more about this bad sportsbook, here are a few links for you:

Conclusion: Stay far away from BetUS if you want to cashout your potential winnings. If you don’t care about money, then go ahead and deposit at BetUS.

The Old Review of BetUS

As the name suggests, BetUS is an online betting site focused firmly on American gamblers. Although it concentrates on the big American sports, it does cover a wide range of other events, including cricket, and is open to customers from all over the world. Established in 1994, BetUS is licensed and regulated by the Government of Costa Rica.

Betting on Cricket at BetUS

The range of sports covered by BetUS is listed on a sidebar to the left of the screen, with popular American sports at the head of the list, followed by other sports, including cricket. Clicking on the cricket link opens the various competitions and matches being covered by BetUS, showing them in the centre of the page. The types of bet available for that event are also listed, and selecting the type of bet then reveals the specific markets that are currently available. These are are generally outright match results. Odds can be displayed in American, fractional or decimal format.

Selecting the odds for a specific market moves the bet to a virtual betting slip to the right of the screen. At the top of the slip are tabs indicating the range of bet available for the selections made (single bets, parlays, reverse bets and so on). Enter a stake and the projected returns for that amount are indicated, with the bet being confirmed once logged into your account.

BetUS Cricket Betting Markets

BetUS offers a limited range of cricket markets, covering results of current matches, including Twenty20, one-day internationals and Test match cricket. Some future markets are available for high profile events, such as the 2013 Ashes series between England and Australia.

Depositing and Withdrawing Funds

For non-US clients, there are a range of deposit methods available, including credit card, bank transfer or through an eWallet service, such as Neteller or Moneybookers. The minimum deposit is US$50. Withdrawing funds can be done through direct payment onto a registered credit card.

Due to the various laws restricting online gambling in the USA, deposit options for US clients are more limited. BetUS recommends clients deposit funds through Money Gram or Western Union, or place deposits via eCheck from a checking account. BetUS does accept deposits by credit card from US clients, but cannot guarantee that these will be successful. Withdrawals for US clients are made via direct transfer onto a checking account.

Features of the BetUS Site

The virtual betting slip is compact and user-friendly at BetUS, and automatically suggests ‘QuickBet’ combinations when more than one market is selected. The explanations of the various types of bet, some of which may not be familiar to a non-US gambler, are clear and well explained.
