Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Pune Warriors India – IPL 6 – Betting Predictions and Tips

The third T20 match of Indian Premier League 6th edition (IPL 6) is to be played between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SH) and Pune Warriors India (PWI). The match will be played on April 5, 2013 at the former’s home ground, Rajiv Gandhi Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad at 8.00 PM IST. Sunrisers Hyderabad was earlier Deccan Chargers Hyderabad but with the change in owners, it has formed a new team and name with some new players and so this would be their debut in this season. For PWI, this would be their third outing in the IPL series who started their journey in 2011 IPL.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SH)

SH would kind of debut in this edition with some fresh faces and obviously the new franchisee owners. The side would be led by the Sri Lankan keeper batsman Kumar Sangakkara and would have Tom Moody as coach. The team has some good players such as the express pace bowler Dale Styne, the in-from left hander Shikhar Dhawan, Darren Sammy, Nathan McCullum, Ishant Sharma. The team is playing their first match and at their home ground so it may make them feel a little comfortable.

Pune Warriors India (PWI)

This would be PWI’s third outing in the IPL series and they have not been among the best performers till now. The biggest disadvantage of the side is that the team has been different captains in each season starting with Yuvraj Singh in 2011 season, Saurav Ganguly in 2012 and now Angelo Matthews in this season. The biggest news for the team is that their key player Yuvraj Singh who could not participate in 2012 because of his illness is back and lot would be expected from him. The team has many good batsmen such as Robin Uthappa, Steve Smith, the in-form batsman Tamim Iqbal, Marlon Sameuls and some good bowlers also including Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ashok Dinda, Wayne Parnell. The team looks quite balanced and they have the capacity to upset even the best team around.

Our Prediction

Both the sides may not be as great as some of the other teams of the IPL, but they have some good players who are capable of performing at a given occasion. However, for SH this would be first outing and we will have to see how they gel as a unit and how they perform with the new team. On the other hand, PWI is relatively more experienced and will get a boost in their confidence with Yuvraj Singh back in the team and with new captain Angelo Matthews. Though SH would try to give it their best and take the maximum advantage of the home ground, we would expect PWI to start on a winning note and so PWI is our favorite to win this match.
