Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh – 3rd ODI – Betting Predictions and Tips

Bangladesh will play the third and final ODI against Sri Lanka in the 3 match ODI series. The Sri Lankan team has an upper hand with 1-0 and the last game was washed out on account of rain. The match will be played on March 28, 2013 at Pallekele. Though the first game was won by Sri Lanka by Duckworth Lewis method, Bangladesh played pretty strongly with the opener Tamim Iqbal making 112 runs. However, Sri Lanka’s opening batsman Tilakratne Dilshan also made quick-fire 113 runs which helped the team to win quite convincingly in the end. Both the teams would be hoping for the third game to happen and Bangladesh would try their best to level the series.

Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is playing in their home and so they will surely look to win the match and the series with not much difficulty. Their top order has been doing well with Dilshan already making a century and the wicketkeeper Sangakkara making half century in the first match. Kusal Janith Perera also is improving with each match and his striking ability helps the team to score the runs quickly in the powerplay. The bowlers have been performing well with all the bowlers getting wickets in the first match.

Bangladesh has impressed many with their play in the first match. Though the team lost the game, it showed that it would not be cakewalk for Sri Lanka. Bangladesh has the capacity to upset the best of the teams as can be seen from the history. Tamim Iqbal scored a superb century in the first match and Nasir Hossain also played a quick knock of 73 with a strike rate of 123. However, their bowlers need to support the team to defend the total set by the batsmen.

Our Prediction

Considering the fact that Sri Lanka has already won the first game and ahead in the series with 1-0 and also that they are playing in their home, the game result should most probably go in their favor. However we would hope that the rain does not play the spoil sport again and there is a contest that takes place. However, Bangladesh has nothing to lose and they will go all out to win this match at any cost and try to level the series. But still according to me, it would be Sri Lanka who would be my favorite to win this game.
