Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Sunrisers Hyderabad – IPL 6 – Betting Predictions and Tips

The last time two teams played on the super Sunday, the match ended in a tie which was then decided by the super over, the first one of IPL 6 and the result went in favour of the lesser expected team, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SH). Now the teams will play again but this time at Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) home Bengaluru. The ninth match of IPL 6 will be played at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru at 4 PM IST on Tuesday April 9, 2013. There is another match also to be played on Tuesday which is between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Daredevils.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)

RCB lost their last game against SH in the super over but there were some good signs for the team. The bowling of Vinay Kumar was superb as could be seen in the last over where he gave away just 6 runs and helped the team tie the match, although his super over turned to be quite expensive for RCB. The skipper Virat Kohli has been in good form but needs to convert the starts into bigger scores if the team has to make big score. Gayle made superb 92 in first match but didn’t score much in the last game and his batting can turn the game anytime. Moises Henriques showed a superb all round performance with 44 runs while batting and 2 crucial wickets while bowling.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SH)

SH is turning out to be a surprise package defeating Pune Warriors India first and then RCB but both the games were played at their home-ground. The good news for the team is that the 19-year old batsman Hanuma Vihari came in good form in last match scoring 44 and landing stability to the team and batting especially when players like Shikhar Dhawan and JP Duminy are not playing. He also picked up crucial wicket of the great Chris Gayle and there will be lot of expectation from him from this match as well. Dale Steyn lived upto his hype of the fastest bowler and he has been among the most difficult bowlers to play. Ishant Sharma also bowled superbly picking up 3 wickets in the last match.

Our Prediction

The bowling of SH has been top class and they have been able to restrict the teams like Delhi Daredevils and RCB to very decent totals. However, their batsmen need to pick up so that the team can continue the winning streak. Also the real test of SH would come when they play away from home. On the other hand, RCB would like to take revenge of their previous loss and they also have the home ground advantage. The fire of Gayle and Kohli and the economical bowling of Vinay and Muralitharan can help the team win quite convincingly over the comparatively weaker but high on confidence SH. So for me it is RCB who should win the match and may break the winning streak of SH.
