Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Pune Warriors India – Match 31 – IPL 6 – Betting Predictions and Tips

The league topper of IPL 6 currently, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will take on the struggling Pune Warriors India (PWI) in match 31 to be played on Tuesday April 23, 2013. The match will be played at RCB home ground, M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru at 4 PM IST. There is another match later during the day which is between Delhi Daredevils and Kings XI Punjab.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)

RCB have been superb in all departments and this is pretty evident from their positioning in the league table and the players’ names among the toppers till now. Their batting has been in superb from with skipper Virat Kohli leading from the front who is also the leading run scorer and also the only batsmen to cross 300 runs till now. Chris Gayle is also in superb from and is at third spot in terms of runs and topper in terms of sixes hit by him, which are 17. AB De Villiers has been also in good touch and has landed support the team when the openers have got out. But their other batsmen, Tillakratne Dilshan, Daniel Christian, Mayank Agarwal, Karun Nair also need to bat well in the middle order and too much of reliance on the top order can be dangerous. In the bowling department, Vinay Kumar and Ravi Rampaul have been superb and bowled economically and taking wickets as well. Infact Vinay Kumar has the maximum wickets till now in this IPL with 12 wickets to his credit. The other bowlers have supported the strike bowlers and have been good.

Pune Warriors India (PWI)

PWI would be very upset from the defeat against Kings XI Punjab even after making a huge score of 185 runs. The top order has not been very consistent except for their new skipper Aaron Finch who has scored an aggregate of 211 runs in just five matches and already has three half centuries under his belt in this edition. The other opener Robin Uthappa has been inconsistent. The team has some good batsmen such as Yuvraj Singh, Manish Pandey, Angelo Mathews, Ross Taylor, Steve Smith and Marlon Samuels but they have not delivered to their potential. Another problem for the team has been changing of skippers quite often. PWI has changed three skippers in the current edition already. Bowling also has been quite inconsistent with Ashok Dinda being one of the most expensive bowlers till now for the team. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar has been good and Rahul Sharma has again performed in bits and pieces.

Our Prediction

RCB have been superb in their performance till now and have accumulated 10 points from their seven matches played till now. They have won all five matches played till now at home and would be eager to win this as well which will not only help them to stay at top currently but also make them confident as they have to play their next matches away. On the other hand, PWI would like to strengthen their bowling as they could not defend a big total of 185 runs in their last match. They would like to win this match and try to be more consistent and could learn a lot from their other team Delhi Daredevils. However going by the records, RCB has been superb at their home and PWI would not be a real threat to them. So RCB is the team who would be our favorite to win this match easily.
