Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Mumbai Indians – IPL 6 – Betting Predictions and Tips

The second and one of the most awaited and exciting match of Indian Premier League 6th edition (IPL 6) is between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Mumbai Indians (MI). The match is to be played on April 4, 2013 at RCB’s home ground, M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru at 8.30 PM IST. Both the teams have never won the IPL trophy, but have some of the best known names in their sides.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)

RCB has got a new captain this time, the in-form Indian batsman Virat Kohli. The team has all the potential to be a trophy winner like always but need to click as a team and need to peak at a right time. The team has some of the best batsmen in current cricket lot, viz. Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers, Cheteshwar Pujara, Tilakaratne Dilshan and the captain himself. The best part is that they all are in superb form and they are all capable of firing at any given point of time. The team has good bowlers also such as Daniel Vettori, Zaheer Khan, Muttiah Muralitharan, Vinay Kumar. However, the availability of Sri Lankan players may be a little doubtful due to the ongoing controversies.

Mumbai Indians (MI)

MI also gets a new captain this time and it is none other than one of the best batsman in all forms of cricket, Ricky Ponting. When we talk about MI, how can we forget the God of cricket, Sachin Tendulkar. This could be one of the mostly deadly combinations that any team could have and which may give a slight edge over other teams. The team has some other big names as well including Harbhajan Singh, Kieron Pollard, Rohit Sharma, Lasith Malinga, James Franklin. These players are all capable of turning the game single handedly and score a win for the team even in the most unexpected situations. Truly treat to watch Sachin and Ricky Ponting in the same team.

Our Prediction

Talking about the two sides, we have very little to choose from. Both the teams are hungry for success and consistency and have that X factor in them to win the title. Both the teams have players of almost equal caliber and have some reputation of big hitters and match winners. But considering the fact that RCB is playing at their home ground and with Gayle factor, the favor just slightly tilts towards them. It should not be less than a cracking match and we can hope for some nail biting finish. MI would not be easy to beat and would surely give a tough competition to RCB or any team. Both sides are equally strong and on their day they also can just demolish the opposition.
