Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Delhi Daredevils – Match 21 – IPL 6 – Betting Predictions and Tips

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) takes on Delhi Daredevils (DD) which is at the bottom of the table currently on Tuesday April 16, 2013. The match 21 will be played at RCB home ground, M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on at 8 PM IST. There is another match earlier during the day which is between Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)

RCB would be pretty disappointed to loose the last game against Chennai Super Kings which was one of the most dramatic matches ever seen. They lost the match in the last ball because of the no-ball bowled by RP Singh. Their batting has been in superb from with skipper Virat Kohli leading from the front who is also the leading run scorer till now with 256 runs. Chris Gayle is also in superb from and has maximum sixes in all IPL and current IPL also. But their other batsmen, Tillakratne Dilshan, Daniel Christian, Mayank Agarwal, Karun Nair also need to bat well in the middle order and too much of reliance on the top order can be dangerous. In the bowling department, the bowling unit has done well overall but they have not done well in death overs. In the match against CSK, RCB’s key bowlers Vinay Kumar, Ravi Rampaul and R P Singh bowled too many length balls and conceded more than 50 runs in last five overs especially the last ball which was a no ball and cost them the match.

Delhi Daredevils (DD)

DD has been in the worst form of their IPL career losing all four matches played by them and being at the bottom of the table currently. Their batting has been out of form with players like Virender Sehwag, Mahela Jayawardane, Irfan Pathan not performing and so the team is not able to get the required start. David Warner is the only player who has been in some form and as a result the team is heavily dependent on him for the score. Already big names like Kevin Pietersen and Jesse Ryder are absent because of injuries. In terms of bowling also, the bowlers have been decent in bits and pieces but overall they have not been among the best of the forms. The team has some good bowlers like Morne Morkel, Umesh Yadav, Irfan Pathan and Ashish Nehra but they need to perform as a unit and take wickets if they have to create an impact.

Our Prediction

DD has lost all their matches but knowing their caliber and the players that they have, the y will surely try to go out to win this match and end the losing streak. The team has to play well as a unit and not rely on individuals if they have to win this match. On the other hand, RCB is at the top of the table and they have been outstanding in their performances in all departments. Even the two matches that they have lost were the closest finishes of the IPL with one ended in super over and the other one on the last ball which could have been won by RCB quite easily. RCB is playing at their home and they are in supreme form and so we predict that they should win this match though we expect nail biting finish today.
