Rajasthan Royals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad – Match 36 – IPL 6 – Betting Predictions and Tips

After having beaten in last two away games, Rajasthan Royals (RR) come back to their den and take on the third placed Sunrisers Hyderabad (SH) in match 36 of IPL 6. The match will be played on Saturday April 27, 2013 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur at 4 PM IST. There is another game later in the day which is between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Rajasthan Royals (RR)

RR has been a little inconsistent with their performance and has not been able to maintain their winning record. The biggest plus for the team is the batting of Shane Watson who hit the first century of this IPL in the last match against Chennai Super Kings. Ajinkya Rahane has also been in superb form and has scored 226 runs and is among the top 10 run getters of this season currently. Rahul Dravid is also in good nick with two half centuries under his belt. The other batsmen, Brad Hodge, Stuart Binny and Dishant Yagnik have performed decently when they have got a chance also come good when required of them. The bowling has been exceptional led by James Faulkner who has taken 11 wickets from just 5 matches and has an economy of under 6. Siddharth Trivedi and Ajit Chandalia have also been superb with decent economy rates with later having an economy of just 4.75 from 4 matches played till now. Kevon Cooper has been a bit expensive but has taken 9 wickets till now and Watson can also do some bowling now.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SH)

SH has surprised everyone with their performance and their last match against Chennai Super Kings was also pretty close but they lost in the end. The return of Shikhar Dhawan strengthened the batting of the not so strong batting unit. In his first match itself, he top scored in the match with 63 runs. The other batsmen, Ashish Reddy, Thisara Perera, Cameron White and Hanuma Vihari have performed in patches but have been playing well in past few matches. Darren Sammy joined the squad in the last match and he could be dangerous in coming matches. The biggest strength of the team is the bowling which is led by Amit Mishra who has taken 14 wickets from 8 matches with an economy of around 6 and is currently at the second position in the highest wicket-taker list of the season. Dale Steyn has been equally impactful with 9 wickets under his belt and again an economy of around 6. Ishant Shrama has also taken 10 wickets but has been a little expensive.

Our Prediction

There is not much to choose between the two sides as they look pretty set and in terms of standing also not much difference between the two. SH will look to make a strong statement with their batting getting stronger with availability of Dhawan and Perera back in the side after not playing the last game. They have won 5 out of 8 matches played and are currently at the third position. On the other hand RR would be high on confidence with the ton from Watson and also the fact that they have won all three matches played at their home. RR is currently placed at forth position with 4 wins out of 7 matches played. Just because of the home side advantage, RR gets a slight upper hand and so they are our favorite to win this match.
