India vs West Indies – 2nd Test Bilateral series – Betting Predictions and Tips

The second and the last 5-day test match of the series between hosts India and West Indies will start from November 14 Thursday. The match will be played at Sachin Tendulkar’s home ground Mumbai at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. This match will be the match that will be one of the most remembered in the history of cricket as this is the mast test match Sachin is playing and so all are eagerly waiting for this match. India already lead the series with 1-0.

India has got one of the finest batting sides in the world and with legend Sachin in the team, there is nothing anyone else can expect. Inspite of this the batting in the last match did not perform as expected though it was saved by Rohit Sharma and R Ashwin. The top order which consist of in-form opener Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay failed to provide the start and stand the not-so-strong bowling attack of West Indies. Cheteshwar Pujara who is considered to be next big batsman for India also failed to impress with just 17 runs. The biggest setback came when Sachin Tendulkar was given out LBW by the umpire when he was on just 10 runs when the decision did not look the correct one. Virat Kohli how had superb recent one day series also failed and scored just 3 runs. The biggest surprise was however the debutant Rohit Sharma who became the 14th Indian to score century on a debut and went on to make 177 runs which was also the second best score made by an Indian on a debut match. Another surprise came in form of century made by R Ashwin who has also scored century earlier against West Indies only. He made 124 valuable runs and it was this partnership that took away the match from the West Indies completely.

In bowling, yet another debutant Mohammed Shami impressed with everyone with overall 9 wickets in the match including one 5-wicket haul in the second innings. Another bowler who impressed was R Ashwin who did a superb all round performance with a century earlier and than 5 wickets overall in the match. All other bowlers were decent and played a supporting role and the biggest surprise when Sachin was asked to bowl and he even picked up a wicket and so we can expect him to roll over his hands for a short time in this match as well.

West Indies (WI)

WI as compared to the Indian team does not have big names and so they have been struggling and it was pretty evident as the match got over in just 3 days with dismal batting performance by the batsmen. Marlon Sameuls was the only player to score half century for the team with 65 and there was no other player who managed to even score half century in either of the innings. Shivnaraine Chanderpaul played well but still was not enough to save the match and could not get support from other batsmen. In bowling, the bowlers got chance to bowl only once and Shillingford impressed with 6 wickets. Other bowlers were average and failed to dismiss the Indian team when they were 5 down for just 87 runs which ultimately resulted in India making mammoth 453 runs.

Our Prediction

This series is nothing but a farewell series to the cricket legend Sachin and this match is his last one. All would be hoping to see him play and make a big score for the last time and obviously helping India win.
