India vs Australia – 6th ODI Bilateral series – Betting Predictions and Tips

The sixth ODI between the hosts India and Australia in the 7-match bilateral ODI series will be played on Wednesday October 30, 2013. The match will be played at the Vidharbha Cricket Association Ground in Nagpur, India and will begin at 1.30 PM IST. Australia lead the series 2-1 and the last two games were washed out producing no result.

The batting has been splendid starting with the openers who have had a decent outing in the series with both Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan playing well and the former even getting one unbeaten century when the team chased an almost impossible target of 360 in the second ODI. Next is Virat Kohli who has also scored one unbeaten century with yet another record under his belt – fastest century ever by an Indian. Suresh Raina has got starts but failed to convert them into big ones and Yuvraj Singh also played well in the first ODI but thereafter has not given much support to the team’s scores. The skipper MS Dhoni has been superb form again and his unbeaten 139 in the third ODI was one of the finest knocks ever played by him, though India lost the match.

The concern for the team has however been the bowling with nothing really going well till now. Ishant Sharma has been on the receiving end and has been criticized from all ends. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar has been a decent bowler but in this series he has also not performed well just one wicket and an economy of over 5 and so he was even dropped in the 4th ODI. Vinay Kumar has also taken a beating and has a very high economy thus resulting in consistent leakage of runs. Lot was expected from R Ashwin but he also failed to deliver and he was also dropped in the 4th ODI. Surprisingly, Mohammed Shami who played the 4th and the only ODI in this series managed to take 3 wickets and give 42 runs in 8 overs and was the pick of the bowlers in that match.

The visitors have managed to surprise quite a few people around with their fantastic all round performances inspite of lacking some of the big names in the side. Clearly leading from the front is the stand-in skipper George Bailey in place of Michael Clarke who has played superbly and is also the leading run scorer of the series with a massive 318 runs in 4 innings. Openers Aaron Finch and Philip Hughes have also been in superb form and provided the required starts to the team and help them build massive scores in all matches played till now. Shane Watson who is among the senior members has not been in the best of the form but his presence has also made a difference to the team success. Glen Maxwell has played the cameos in the end and has finished well for the team.

The bowling has been led by Mitchell Johnson with a superb average of 32.40 and economical bowling which is just around 5 in such tough batting conditions. All other bowlers have been average and have played support role for Johnson.

Our Prediction

With critical situation for India, this becomes a very important match for them to win so that they can keep the series alive. Australia on the other hand would like to win and seal the series victory with this match.

According to us India should be able to win this match as they have the home ground advantage and they are more desperate to win it.
