India vs Australia – 3rd Test – Betting Predictions and Tips

After a depressing first two tests for the visitors, we now move on to Mohali for the third test. The match will be played on the 14th March 2013 at 09:30 am. The Mohali pitch would be better suited to Australians as it provides extra bounce and carry. Fast bowlers are likely to play an important role here as Mohali’s track has always assisted quick bowlers. Later on in the match, the spinners are likely to come into play too. All in all, Mohali’s pitch would be easier to bat on except when the ball is hard and new.

India

Indian contingent would be very happy with the way things have gone so far. They’ve outscored, outbowled and outsmarted Kangaroos with some exceptional Cricket. They’d want to keep it the same and simple that is to attack from the word Go. Despite two fascincating victories, all is not well for the hosts. Their opening woes still continue and now that Sehwag is out of the team, their opening lacks experience too. It would be up to the likes of Dhawan or Rahane to show their worth in the longer version of the game as well. Apart from opening, the team combination looks spotless with everyone chipping in with wickets and runs. Overall, good for India, but worries for the opposition.

Australia

Australia, contrary to what was expected, failed miserably in the first two outings. When they come out on the field for the third test, there would be lesser expectations, but they’d be fighting for something more: their pride. They looked like minnows in the earlier two games despite contributions from a few players. Michael Clarke performed brilliantly while Wade and Henriques chipped in with some runs too. Rubbing salt to the injury is that Pattinson and Watson, their two key players, would have to sit out for what is being termed as ‘Not doing Homework’. The pitch would suit Australian conditions, although not like WACA, Perth, it would be somewhat like Adelaide. Again with a limited side and limited options, Australia would have to fight back and they won’t get any better oppurtunity than this.

Our Predictions and tips

Looking at the way things have gone in previous two tests, Indian batting is very unlikely to fail. Their bowlers might be lesser lethal considering pitch, but Bhuvneshwar’s role would be crucial at the start of the innings. Australia seems to be down and out, but they do have a small window of hope. I think that this game would produce run feast, probably from both sides. I expect the Kangaroos to improve their batting and draw this game.
